I can't believe how long I went between posts - I need to get back to it! The week has been busy with us getting prepared to go to Sacramento for the conference we are holding there. It feels good to sit here and write. I have really enjoyed blogging - it has really given me an outlet for what I love. We are working on really being present in all that we do - something that I've practiced through my inner work from time to time but noticed this year that with our busy lives it has become harder to do so we are getting back to it. We've started reading Eckert Tolle's new book (thank you Mom!) and have been enjoying the opportunity to really be present with our kids. The picture above is the perfect reminder - Jacob just hanging out reading while his little brother plays in the chair with him. This picture reminds me how simple life is. It isn't about bills, work, conferences, or even homeschooling, it is about just loving the present and really cherishing each moment. These guys not only keep us on our toes, they help us stay present.
Speaking of present... we've been practicing it in all aspects and of course that means baking! lol... this week's cupcakes were pink lemonade with vegan lemon curd in the center - they were yum! And of course the gnomes were starting to feel left out so we had to give them a bit of the cuppie action!
The next post will be serious, lol... some school work.
