Harry and Sam on our first hotel stay before we
actually got to San Diego - Erik wanted to steal the Motel 6 bedspread... like I would let him put it on our bed? what is the man thinking?
lol.

Harry decided he would try his best to have fun even though he hates walking... anyone with an
ASD child will relate to how much walking is a "chore" for them! (tongue firmly planted in cheek!)
There are so many great things to see in this sea port town...

like the beautiful cruise ships that came and went during our stay - wonder where this one is going.

these are great ships are full of history - the one on the right is the Star of India, they are both part of the
San Diego Maritime Museum.
These are both loads of fun but I suggest if you go, before you buy tickets that you go into the gift shop and ask to buy a full year's membership - especially if you are with your family as it will save you a ton of $$ and allow you to come back all year long - it is a bit like a zoo pass or any other museum pass, well worth it but remember they won't just tell you about it, lol - they want to get you to pay $12 a person for entrance so you have to ask for the pass!

Doesn't Harry look thrilled here? See that sign behind him? It says that the Midway museum close at 5pm... it was 5:15pm... like I was supposed to know that it closed at 5! I guess I need to try a bit harder to be super mom.

The Midway... awesome looking ship - of course we didn't see it this time... remember I am a bad mom,
lol.

After Harry recovered, we went on to see some other cool things - check out this huge statue! It is a replica of the famous
kiss picture taken the day WWII ended. We kept walking and found fairies!!

isn't this the coolest!?! It was awesome to find my little Waldorf connection out in the middle of this city street!

We ended our evening with the perfect ice cream sundae at
Ghirardelli in the Gas Lamp district. I couldn't resist this picture as the little boy reminded me of Jacob - that sad little face... "Mom please buy some chocolate, I deserve it."
lol... I can just hear those words coming from his mouth!
This really is my favorite city! Erik and I would love to make it our home someday soon.
